Lois Blackburn has a unique way of fashioning images - using painted batik on silk, scanned into a computer and manipulated, it gives her illustration a lushness of colour and spontaneity of line that is eye grabbing. This way of working is fast and ideal for those tight deadlines.
Her illustrations have been commissioned for Manchester Art Galleries, children's book, “The Problem with Pictures.” As well as writing and illustrating a collection of her own children’s books.
